LOS ANGELES - Ventura County FC were eliminated from the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup after falling 3-0 to National Independent Soccer Association side Irvine Zeta FC at Dignity Health Sports Park's Track & Field Stadium on Wednesday night.

LA Galaxy Academy

Seven LA Galaxy Academy Products appeared in the match against Irvine: Victor Casillas, Carson Klein, Riley Dalgado, Ruben Ramos Jr., Carlos Diaz, Nicolas Barros Schelotto and Diego López. Eighteen-year-old LA Galaxy Academy defender Victor Casillas made his professional debut, starting and logging 82 minutes in the U.S. Open Cup Second Round match.

IRV - Rafael Espinoza (Oscar Cervantes), 45th minute: A long ball into the box found Espinoza at the back post and his shot was fired into the roof of the net.
