Venom To Hold Youth Football Camp

Amarillo, TX 5/3/10- The Amarillo Venom are beginning registration for their annual "Venom Youth Football Camp", the team announced Monday.

The camp will last from June 7th through 9th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM (participates must bring lunch) at the Amarillo Civic Center. The Venom will accept participates from the second through sixth grades.

"We want our children to not only learn how to play football, but how to respect others and learn first-class sportsmanship," expressed Venom Head Coach Jon Lyles. "We plan on teaching the game the right way using NFL talent and strong character individuals. Our purpose is not only to perform on gameday, but to also serve in the community and help develop our youth."

Venom quarterback Julian Reese, offensive players Dontrell Moore (spent time with the New York Jets and Tennessee Titians), Sha-Ron Edwards (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), and Jonathon Toailoa along with defensive players Brandon Jenkins (Carolina Panthers), Kevin Patterson, Kendrick Bournes will teach the camp with the Venom coaching staff.

The camp package includes a t-shirt, four tickets to the regular season home finale June 12th (participates will also be involved in the pre-game introductions) for $65.00 per participate (extra participate with same family $25.00).
