Nashville Venom News Release
NASHVILLE- The Nashville Venom, champions of the Professional Indoor Football League, will be holding an open tryout in the Middle Tennessee area on Saturday November 15, 2014 at the D1 Nashville Sports Training Complex, 7115South Springs Drive Franklin, TN. 37067. The team looks to add to an already strong team that won it all in their inaugural season. Since the team has been in existence, 11 players have moved up to a higher level of football. This is something that General Manager/Head Coach Billy Back is particularly proud of.
"Our goal is to produce winners on the field and in life," said Back. There is an abundance of talent in this area. A lot of guys on this year's team are from here. While I would love to have guys stay their whole career with us, the reality is scout notice their ability and grab them from us. That is the nature of the game. The tryout will let the staff and me see these players up close and evaluate them. Our motto for this year is clear. "ËHere's Your Shot, Do You What It Takes'? We are excited to get started."
D1 Nashville is co-owned by Denver Broncos QB and former Tennessee Vol Peyton Manning. There are 38 locations nationwide that are co-owned by current and former professional athletes. The facility offers levels of training from rookie to professional. The Venom used the facility to practice most of last season. Nine players from last year's tryout at D1 made the team and were big contributors to the Venom's championship run. .
To tryout you will need to bring your own football cleats and workout clothes. For more information and to pre-register, contact Coach Back at bback@nashvillevenom.com The price is $50 and the last day is November 14. To register the day of you will need to pay $65 in cash only.
