NASHVILLE. TN (April 11, 2014) - The PIFL's (Professional Indoor Football League) newest team, The Nashville Venom, will face the defending league champions, The Alabama Hammers for their second meeting of the year, Friday April 18. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm (CST) at the Municipal Auditorium in
The Venom previously faced the Hammers in their innagural game March 29, and took a bite out of them after being tied at 27 through the first half, the Venom used a stingy defense and outstanding play on offense by outscoring the Hammers 29-13 in the second half of the game before an announced crowd of 3,008.
"The Hammers are the defending champions and we got the best of them in week one, I know Coach Cokinos will have the Alabama ready to go come Friday, but we have to make sure our game play isn't sloppy and laid back so we can be prepared for whatever they throw at us." says Billy Black, Venom Head Coach/General Manager.
