Venom Games Will Air on 107.1 FM

Amarillo, TX 2/18/11 - The Amarillo Venom are pleased to announce this season's games will be aired on FM 107.1 the Armadillo and on www.kpur107.com .
The Amarillo Venom move from the AM side of the dial to the FM side, as the Venom and Cumulus reach a radio agreement for the 2011 season. This weekend's exhibition game as well as 14 regular season games and any playoff games will be aired on 107.1 FM.
"We are pleased with our 2011 radio agreement with Cumulus," said Joe Morgado the team's General Manager. "Now that we are on an FM station will we be able to reach a larger number of our fans in the Texas Panhandle."
The Venom have seven road trips on their 2011 schedule which includes trips to Fort Collins, Colorado; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Wichita, Kansas; Allen, Texas; Prescott Valley, Arizona; and two trips to Odessa, Texas, all of which will be broadcast on 107.1 FM.
Jack Light, General Manager of Cumulus Media Inc., said Cumulus is proud to be the flagship station of the 2011 Amarillo Venom.
"I am pleased with the partnership that has been formed with us and the Amarillo Venom," said Light. "I believe the partnership will be equally beneficial to both parties. We are excited about the upcoming season."
Trevor Miller will be doing the play-by-play broadcasts for the 2011 season. Miller graduated from Texas Tech University in August 2010 with his Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism and has five years of broadcast experience.
"I'm excited about the 2011 season and the deal the Venom and Cumulus were able to make," said Miller. "I'm looking forward to helping Venom fans see the game through me."
The first broadcast of the 2011 season will be the Venom's exhibition game against the Allen Wranglers Sunday, February 20th. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:05, with the pregame show starting at 2:50.
Tickets are still available for the February 20th game against the Allen Wranglers and there will be a special meet and greet with former Dallas Cowboys Everson Walls and Drew Pearson.
