
Vees Lose in Kennewick

Kennewick, WA - The Vees battle back hard in the second period but ultimately fell by a 5-2 score against the Tri-City Americans on Saturday night.
The Vees fall to 4-4-0-1 on the season.
The Vees fell behind early on Saturday night after taking a penalty in the first minute. Jakub Vanecek feathered a shot through traffic and beat Vees starting goaltender Kaenan Smith to make it 1-0.
The Americans would add to their lead before the end of the frame with Eli McKamey finding the net to make it 2-0 after 20 minutes.
Penticton would push back in the second period. First, Gavin Katz took a pass from Tyler Deakos and buried the puck in the top corner and then Deakos made a backhand move and found the back of the net to make it 2-2.
The Americans would answer back as Alex Laing potted a rebound to make it 3-2 after the second period.
Tri-City scored early in the frame and then again into the empty net to skate away with a 5-2 victory.
The Vees have now lost three straight games.
