Today's Storylines:
Valor take on Brigade Saturday in second-straight home game
The Washington Valor are back at Capital One Arena this weekend, hosting the Baltimore Brigade on Saturday, May 19 at 3 p.m. This is the firsts meeting between the teams since Week 1 in Baltimore, a game the Brigade won, 61-56. Valor quarterback Warren Smith looks to build on his six total touchdowns in Week 5 against Albany.
Pregame and postgame festivities
Valor fans are encouraged to arrive early for "Valor Hour," which features $4 beers from 2-3 p.m. at select concession locations around the arena concourse. Additionally, Valor fans can receive half-price appetizers at the Greene Turtle on F Street when they show their Valor ticket from 1-2 p.m. The Capital One Arena Greene Turtle will be the team's official pregame happy hour location this season. Lastly, attendees are encouraged to stick around after the game for the postgame, on-field autograph session. All fans are welcomed to join the team on the field for autographs, photos and other activities.
Valor fall, 53-42, to Empire in home opener
The Washington Valor were defeated, 53-42, by the Albany Empire on Friday night at Capital One Arena. Valor quarterback Warren Smith Jr. threw for a season-high 227 yards and five passing touchdowns. Empire quarterback Tommy Grady was named MVP for his seven-touchdown performance.

Saturday, May 19: Valor and Brigade face off for the second time this season, this time at Capital One Arena.
