
Valley Forge Freedom Players Headed to the ECHL

(Oaks, PA) Valley Forge Freedom General Manager Brendan Tedstone today announced that two players from his Mid-Atlantic Hockey League team have been called up to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. Forwards Chris Holmes and Joe Pelle will join the Jackals in Reading, PA for their game tonight against the Royals.
Chris Holmes, the current MAHL Player of the Week, is the leading scorer for the Valley Forge Freedom. In fourteen games this season the twenty-one year old Brick, New Jersey native had tallied 14goals-15assists-29points. Holmes is sixth in the MAHL in league scoring and fourth in goals scored.
Joe Pelle, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, joins the Elmira Jackals after playing in nine games for Valley Forge this year. He scored 2goals-3assists-5points and added 80 penalty minutes. His 80 penalty minutes are second in the MAHL. The twenty-three year old forward leads the MAHL in major penalties with 12.
Holmes and Pelle become the thirteenth and fourteenth players from the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League to be called up to the "AA" leagues this season.
