Valentin Named to U23 Olympic Qualifying Camp

CHICAGO - Impact defender Zarek Valentin has been named to the U.S. U23 National Team 19-player training camp roster that will convene tomorrow to begin final preparations for the CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying tournament.

The roster will be finalized March 20, the due date for all participating teams to submit their rosters to CONCACAF. The U.S. will compete in Group A, which kicks off March 22 at LP Field in Nashville, Tenn.

Valentin has been called to all three of the U.S. U23 camps in preparation for the London Olympics this summer. He's played 29 games for the U.S. U20s, and has taken part in the U18, U17 and U15 programs.
