Rochester, N.Y. - It may have been the Rochester Lancers' big return to the MASL, but Utica City spoiled the party in a dominating 9-1 win Friday night at the ROC Dome Arena. Moises Gonzalez scored four goals, while Uroš Momić scored twice and Cristhian Segura, Bo Jelovac, and Ricardo Diegues all chipped in with one goal each. Andrew Coughlin made 12 saves on 13 shots in the win.

Gonzalez struck first two minutes into the game, taking advantage of a Rochester turnover in their own end. Momo followed up 41 seconds later on a rebound from a Nate Bourdeau shot to go up 2-0 early in the opening quarter. Matt D'Amico cut into Utica's lead with 27 seconds to play in the first quarter after he deflected a pass past Coughlin.

Gonzalez added his second of the evening halfway through the second quarter when he headed a cross from Segura. Segura made it 4-1 49 seconds later, scoring on a rebound from a Bo Jelovac shot. Momo netted his second of the night at the 12:03 mark after Gonzalez poked ball through the box to the Serbian Striker.

Gonzalez scored his third and fourth goals of the game with a pair of rockets from the top of the box 35 seconds apart. Diegues put home his own rebound with 45 seconds to go in the quarter to bring the score to 8-1.

Jelovac kept the onslaught rolling in the fourth quarter, putting back his own shot on a three-on-one rush. Coughlin and the Utica defense locked it down in the final four minutes to secure the win.
