July 24, 2018 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Utica City FC News Release
Utica, N.Y. - Utica City FC officially announced today that Ryan Hall will be named head coach for their inaugural 2018-19 MASL season.
Hall, who is no stranger to Central New York after playing NCAA Division I soccer at Syracuse University and professionally with the Syracuse Salty Dogs and the Rochester Rhinos, has gained extensive experience throughout the U.S.
In addition to his local involvement, Hall, who grew up in Northern Virginia, has also spent significant years playing the indoor game. This includes spells at the Cleveland Force, Chicago Storm, California Cougars, and New Jersey Ironmen.
As a natural leader on the field, Hall smoothly transitioned into coaching and has attained valuable experience from youth to the professional ranks. Most recently, as Head Coach, Hall led the Syracuse Silver Knights to their best record in their history during the 2017-2018 MASL season. Notably, this was his first year as a head coach at the professional level.
Speaking about his appointment, Utica City FC President Robert Esche said: "Announcing the coach is one of the most instrumental parts of building any organization for the future, and we feel that Ryan Hall's vision and past success aligns with our goals of creating a championship team right out of the gate."
Having played professionally with Hall, UCFC's General Manager, Tommy Tanner, was clearly excited about his arrival to the team. "Ryan's hard work and determination as a player has clearly transferred over into his coaching style and philosophy. He is an excellent leader who pays great attention to detail. I look forward to him leading UCFC to a successful first season."
Utica City FC's MASL season begins in December. The official schedule will be announced later this summer.
