Utah Snowbears News Release

Ogden, UT. Timmy Gibbs, CEO of the ABA Utah Snowbears, today announced that former NBA player Ike Austin has purchased ownership in the new team scheduled to begin play this season and will serve as Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel.

According to Gibbs, "Ike is a great addition not only to the ownership group - but to the team. His energy and work ethic are outstanding. He personifies everything we want our organization and team to be."

Austin was a second round draft pick of the Utah Jazz and has played for the Miami Heat where he received the NBA Most Improved Player Award. He finished his career with the Memphis Grizzlies. Austin added, "I've played in pro leagues other than the NBA. I know the hard work and discipline needed to move up. Our team will be competitive - and will give 110% every minute."

Gibbs also announced that Fred Rollin has joined the Snowbears as VP/Marketing and said, "Fred brings a wealth of experience to our team; his track record is outstanding." For more information about sponsorships and tickets, you can contact Fred at (801) 809-6500 or email rollinf@lgcy.com.
