Utah Blaze Announce 2013 Dancer Auditions

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze has announced it will hold its annual dancer auditions on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, located at 150 West and 500 South. Registration is from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., with auditions beginning promptly at 9:00 a.m. and ending at approximately 3:00 p.m. Personal interviews will be scheduled the week following auditions.
The Blaze is looking to cast physically fit, unique and outgoing professional dancers with outstanding performance quality as well as an upstanding professional demeanor. Previous cheerleading and/or dance experience is required to audition.
All candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, have reliable transportation as well as a valid driver's license, be able to commit to an annual contract, appear at scheduled Utah Blaze events, and attend all rehearsals and games. The contractual obligation for all selected candidates runs from October 2012 through October 2013.
All applicants are required to pay a $25 processing fee in order to audition. Applicants are strongly encouraged to pre-register online for auditions at www.utblaze.com/2013auditions, but may also pay their fee in person on the date of auditions. The deadline for pre-registration is October 10, 2012.
Applicants may also take part in two workshops prior to the tryout date. During these workshops, dancers will be introduced to the expectations of the tryout process and the type of dance routines they will be performing. The workshops come at a cash-only fee of $10 on-site, regardless of whether participants attend one or both classes. If an applicant has pre-registered for dancer auditions online, the fee for participating in workshops comes at a discounted rate of $5. Workshop dates and locations will be announced in the near future.
