USL Discipline Report: Week 14

TAMPA, Fla. - The following is the USL's discipline report for Week 14 of the 2016 season:

Thirteen players have been suspended and fined an undisclosed amount for their actions this past week.

Rio Grande Valley FC's Jose Escalante is suspended for four matches for spitting at an opponent during RGV's 2-1 loss against Orange County Blues FC on Sunday. This infraction was issued by the USL Discipline Committee upon review. Escalante was not disciplined during the course of the game. He will now miss all four of RGV's July matches: at OKC Energy FC (Saturday) and home games against Tulsa Roughnecks FC (July 10), Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (July 13) and Sacramento Republic FC (July 30).

Five players were issued straight red cards in their respective matches and are suspended for one game each this week: Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC's Christian Ibeagha (out Wednesday against Real Monarchs SLC), the Harrisburg City Islanders' James Thomas (out Monday against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds), Orlando City B's Lewis Neal (out Saturday against the Charlotte Independence), Rio Grande Valley FC's Ivan Magalhaes (out Saturday against OKC Energy FC) and Tulsa Roughnecks FC's Gustavo Villalobos (out Friday against Arizona United SC).

Four players received two cautions in their respective matches, were subsequently sent off and are suspended for one game apiece this week: FC Montreal's Louis Beland-Goyette (out Monday against Louisville City FC), the Real Monarchs' Tyler Arnone (out Wednesday against Colorado Springs), Toronto FC II's Skylar Thomas (out Saturday against Wilmington Hammerheads FC) and Wilmington's Tom Parratt (out Saturday against Toronto).

Three players are serving one-game suspensions for yellow card accumulation: Bethlehem Steel FC's Derrick Jones (out Saturday against FC Cincinnati), the Real Monarchs' Kevaughn Frater (out Wednesday against Colorado Springs) and Saint Louis FC's James Musa (out Saturday against the Swope Park Rangers).

A total of 24 players have been issued four yellow cards this season and are one away from being fined and suspended for accumulation (breakdown by team):
