
USL Discipline Report - Week 5
April 11, 2018 - United Soccer League Championship (USL) News Release
TAMPA, Fla. - The following is the USL's discipline report for Week 5 of the 2018 United Soccer League season:
North Carolina FC's Aaron Guillen and Indy Eleven's Karl Ouimette have each been suspended for one game following their red cards for violent conduct in this past Saturday's game between the two teams after a review by the Independent Discipline Panel reduced each player's suspension from three games. Guillen will be unavailable for NCFC's game against the Charlotte Independence this Saturday, while Ouimette will be unavailable for Indy's game this Saturday against Nashville SC.
Ottawa Fury FC's Onua Obasi has been suspended for three games following his red card against the Tampa Bay Rowdies this past Saturday. Obasi will be unavailable for Fury FC's games against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (April 14), North Carolina FC (April 21) and FC Cincinnati (April 28).
The Richmond Kickers' Alex Lee has been suspended for two games following a review by the Independent Discipline Panel of an incident in Richmond's game against the New York Red Bulls II this past Saturday. Lee will be unavailable for the Kickers' games against Louisville City FC (April 14) and Toronto FC II (April 25).
Seattle Sounders FC 2's Denso Ulysse has been suspended for one game after being sent off for serious foul play against Sacramento Republic FC last Saturday. Ulysse will be unavailable for Wednesday night's game against Real Monarchs SLC.
Seattle Sounders FC 2's Rodrigue Ele will be available for Wednesday night's game against Real Monarchs SLC following the decision of the U.S. Soccer Federation Panel to overturn Ele's second yellow card against Sacramento Republic FC.
The LA Galaxy II's Jean Engola (denial of goal-scoring opportunity) and Alex Mendez (serious foul play) have each been suspended for one game after being sent off against Orange County SC last Saturday. Both players will be unavailable for Wednesday night's game against Phoenix Rising FC.
Sacramento Republic FC's Mitchell Taintor has been suspended for one game following his red card for denial of a goal-scoring opportunity against Seattle Sounders FC 2 this past Saturday. Taintor will be unavailable for Saturday's game against Las Vegas Lights FC.
The following player enters the upcoming matches one caution away from a yellow card accumulation suspension. A fifth caution would result in a one-game suspension and undisclosed fine. Here is the breakdown per club:
