USHL Notes

The Stars are the USHL's hottest team. In their four straight wins, Lincoln has outscored their opponents by a whopping 265. For the record, that's 6.5 GPG and only 1.25 against per game. Ben Hogan has stepped up his game in the net since the Jackiel trade and Lincoln continues to get offensive punch from the likes of JJ Koehler, Mike Davies and Eli Vlaisavljevich, all amongst the league leaders.

Des Moines has had the misfortune of running into the leagues hottest goaltenders. At the hands of Eric Pflgler (Chicago), John Murray (Sioux Falls), and Alex Stalock (Cedar Rapids), the Bucs suffered three straight shutouts at home. However, Des Moines still has a share of the lead in the East with Cedar Rapids.

11,134 fans turned out and went home happy in Green Bay and Indiana over the weekend. The Eastern Divisional rivals each won at home in the home and home weekend series, as 6,025 attended the game Friday night in Green Bay and 5,109 tuned out in Indiana on Saturday night. With an average attendance of 4,412 per game, Indiana is tops in the USHL to date.
