Big Crowd - Green Bay's win over Danville on Saturday did more than just keep the Gamblers in contention for the fourth and final East Division playoff spot - it also sent an organization-record crowd of 5,965 home happy.

Streaking - With a shorthanded goal on Saturday, Des Moines forward Mike Erickson, a Minnesota Wild draft pick, extended his league-high consecutive points streak to 13 games.

Goals - River City forward Mike Howe, a University of Minnesota recruit, became the first USHL player to hit the 30-goal mark this season. His 16 power-play goals lead the league.

Struggles - Sioux Falls extended its club record winless streak to 15 games.

Stifling - Des Moines goalies Pat Watson and Dwight LaBrosse have combined to post a .920 saves percentage since joining the team.

A Plus - Tri-City's Bill Thomas, a University of Nebraska-Omaha recruit, is the USHL's plus-minus leader with a +32 rating.

‘O' from D - Green Bay's Mitch Ganzak, a Miami of Ohio recruit, has quietly moved into second among USHL defensemen in points with 28 (5G, 23A).

Winners - Waterloo's Kevin Regan and Cedar Rapids' Joe Fallon are tied for the league lead in goaltending wins with 21 each.

Tri-City head coach and general manager Bliss Littler on the Storm's six-game winning streak (as told to The Grand Island Independent):

"I just hope we don't peak until sometime in April."

LPH/USHL Offensive Player of the Week:

Jon Grabarek -- CEDAR RAPIDS ROUGHRIDERS

Grabarek (Sterling Heights, Mich.), the RoughRiders' top scorer, earned Offensive Player of the Week honors with a two-goal, four-assist week. He also posted a stellar weekly plus-minus rating of plus-6. Grabarek now has 48 points in 46 games played this season. Honorable mention to Adam Bartholomay (Lincoln), Billy Smith (Green Bay), and Adam Krug (Sioux City).

LPH/USHL Defensive Player of the Week:

Mitch Ganzak -- GREEN BAY GAMBLERS

Ganzak (Redford, Mich.) earned Defensive Player of the Week honors with solid play in both ends of the ice. The USHL's second-highest scoring d-man, Ganzak registered two goals and four assists including one game-winning goal in three games last week. Honorable mention to Peter MacArthur (Waterloo), Dan Tormey (Cedar Rapids) and Phillippe Lamoureux (Lincoln).

New Hampshire's Preston Callander (Lincoln) has five goals and four assists over his last four games... North Dakota's Brandon Bochenski (Lincoln) leads all WCHA scorers with 47 points in 31 games... Michigan State freshman Dominic Vicari (River City) was named CCHA Defensive Player of the Week today after posting 21-save and 35-save shutout performances against UNO to become the first Spartan goalie to record back-toback whitewashes since Ryan Miller in 2001... Manchester left wing Noah Clarke (Des Moines) was named AHL Player of the Week today after posting four goals and one assist last week. The former Buccaneer won the AHL's Fastest Skater competition at the 2004 AHL All-Star Game... NoDak freshman Jordan Parise (Waterloo) boasts the WCHA's top GAA (2.23).
