Published on November 4, 2004 under Ontario Hockey League (OHL) News Release
The Canadian Hockey League today announced the CHL Mosaik MasterCard Top 10 Rankings for the week ending Sunday October 31, 2004. The weekly rankings of the Canadian Hockey League's top 10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.
The London Knights (14-0-1-0) added a pair of wins to their 15-game undefeated streak last week, holding the Saginaw Spirit and Erie Otters to one goal each. OHL scoring leader Corey Perry has recorded at least one point in each of the Knights 15 games this season. Earlier today, he was named OHL player of the month for October while Ryan MacDonald picked up OHL goaltender of the month honours after winning all seven of his starts last month. The Brampton Battalion (10-5-2-0) returned to the top-10 after winning all three of their games last week.
The Medicine Hat Tigers (11-1-1-0) added a win to their WHL-leading record this season. The league's defending champions have been paced offensively by the dynamic duo of Stefan Meyer (10 goals, 11 assists) and Clarke MacArthur (six goals, 15 assists). The Seattle Thunderbirds, who have won five of their past six games, jumped from 10th to sixth this week.
The Moncton Wildcats (13-4-1-0) won each of their three games last week and jumped up to third in the top-10 rankings. CHL Player of the Week Steve Bernier sparked the Wildcats offence with four goals and seven points. The Wildcats are 7-1-0-0 in their past eight games. The Quebec Remparts (10-4-3-1) won two of three games last week and are making their season debut in the top-10 this week.
