UIF Players of the Week announced

Omaha, NE - United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce that Terrance Bryant, Deion Holts, and Ronnie Elliott have been named Players of the Week for their efforts in week 13. Bryant led the Sioux Falls Storm to victory over the Ohio Valley Greyhounds, earning Offensive Player of the Week. Holts, of the Evansville BlueCats, garnered Defensive Player of the Week honors for his play, and Elliott came up big in the return game for Rock River to receive Special Teams Player of the Week.

Terrance Bryant (SFS) completed 17 of 24 passes for 166 yards and six touchdowns in last Saturday's game against Ohio Valley, leading the Storm to a 56-20 victory. This is Bryant's second time being Offensive Player of the Week as he also received the honor back in week four. On Saturday, the Storm will face the Lexington Horsemen on the road at Rupp Arena.

Deion Holts (EVA) was a defensive strength for the BlueCats. He racked up 5.5 tackles, two sacks totaling 13 yards, two safeties, and a blocked extra point for Evansville. The BlueCats fell short in the game, losing 42-41 to Lexington. On Saturday, Evansville will hit the road to visit the Sioux City Bandits at Tyson Events Center.

Ronnie Elliott (ROC) returned five kickoffs for 83 yards and also had seven catches for 38 yards and a touchdown in the Rock River Raptors' 40-39 win over the Bloomington Extreme. With the win, the Raptors took the season series from the Extreme, 2-1. The first time the two teams met was on Mar. 30 with Rock River winning 53-20. Later, on May 25, the Extreme won 54-47 in overtime. The Raptors will look to stay on top in the Eastern Conference and win a fourth straight game as they host Ohio Valley Saturday at MetroCentre.

Receiving Week 13 Honorable Mentions are: Offense, Michael Cosey (EVA); Defense, Winston Taylor (BLO); and Special Teams, Dale Jennings (EVA).
