U.S. National Under-17 Team Defeats Canada, 7-5

DAWSON CREEK, British Columbia - Grant Mismash (Edina, Minn.) tallied two markers as the U.S. National Under-17 Team defeated Canada White, 7-5, in its second preliminary-round contest of the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. With the victory, the United States improved to 2-0 in the tournament.

The U.S. National Under-17 Team finishes preliminary-round play tomorrow (Nov. 3) against Canada Black. Puck drop is slated for 9 p.m. ET. Live stats and streaming can be found here.

Notes: Adam Scheel was named Team USA's best player of the game ... Grant Mismash (2-2- 4), Scott Reedy (2-2- 4) and Jacob Tortora (1-3- 4) are in a four-way tie for the tournament lead in points with four ... The U.S. outshot Canada White, 32-29 ... Team USA was 1-for-4 on the power play and 5-for-8 on the penalty kill ... The 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge includes two groups of four teams. Group A features Canada Black, Canada White, the Czech Republic and the United States, while Group B includes Canada Red, Finland, Russia and Sweden ...
