U.S. National Team News Release
UNITED STATES NATIONAL UNDER-18 TEAM
The U.S. Under-18 Team, split a weekend set against two Division I opponents. Saturday, October 30, the U-18's were defeated, 7-4 by Harvard and on Sunday, October 31 the red, white and blue beat Brown, 1-0.
NEXT ACTION
The U-18 Team hosts the Compuware Four Nations Cup, November 7-12, 2004 at
the Ann Arbor Ice Cube, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Saturday, October 30 â US-18, 4, Harvard, 7
Peter Mueller (Bloomington, Minn.) led the U.S. with two goals and an assist as they fell to the Crimson of Harvard, 7-4. Mueller opened the game scoring as he tallied his 9th goal of the season juts 5:02 into the game.
The Crimson staked a 5-3 lead by the end of the period on the strength of goals by Jon Pelle, Rob Flynn, Watters, and Andrew Lederman. The U.S. scores came off the sticks of Benn Ferriero (Essex, Mass.) and Mueller
Harvard extended its lead to 6-4 with a Dylan Reese power play tally midway through the final frame, but the Under-18's trimmed the lead with a goal at 17:37 by Saugus, Mass. Native, Jason Lawrence.
Mueller earned first star game honors with a two goal, one assist performance.

Mark Mietra (Livonia, Mich) recorded the lone goal of the contest just 3:36 into the game as Jeff Frazee (Burnsville, Minn.) made the goal stand-up turning aside 42 shots to give the USA the victory.
The Bears outshot the U.S. 42-22 and won 40 of 73 faceoffs, but could not get one past Frazee, who earned his and the NTDP's first shut out of the season and was named first star of the game.
The U.S. stopped 11 Brown power-play attempts

UNITED STATES NATIONAL UNDER-17 TEAM
The U.S. Under-17 Team swept the Soo Kewadin Casino Indians in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., 3-2 and 2-1 respectively.

Chris Atkinson (Sparta, N.J.) recorded his first game-winning goal of the season when he tallied at the 16:52 mark of the final period giving the U.S. a 2-1 win over the Soo Kewadin Casino Indians. Mike Ratchuk (Buffalo, N.Y.) opened the game scoring with his first power-play goal of the year.
Joe Palmer (Yorkville, N.Y.) turned in another strong performance in the pipes allowing only a power-play goal en route to earning his third win of the season.

The U-17 scored the first three goals of the game, Kevin Montgomery (Rochester, N.Y.), Rhett Rkhshani (Huntington Beach, Calif.) and Chris Summers (Ypsilanti, Mich.) and in goal Brett Bennett (Williamsville, N.Y.) held off third period Indian charge to notch his fourth win of the season.
