UNITED STATES NATIONAL UNDER-18 TEAM
The U.S. Under-18 Team won twice on the week as they defeated the Cleveland Barons 4-3 in overtime on Saturday, September 25 and the Soo Kewadin Casino Indians, 7-4 on Sunday, September 26, 2004.

NEXT ACTION
The U-18 Team begins the college portion of their schedule as they travel to New York to take on the Clarkson Golden Knights in (Potsdam, N.Y.) on Saturday, October 2 and the St. Lawrence Saints in (Canton, N.Y.) on Sunday, October 3.

PREVIOUS WEEK RECAP
Saturday, September 25 – US-18, 4, Cleveland 3 OT
Chris Cahill (North Andover, Mass.), with an assist going to Zach Jones (Lisle, Ill.), scored in overtime to lift the US to a 4-3 win over the Barons.

Nathan Gerbe (Oxford, Mich.), Jason Lawrence (Saugus, Mass.) and Jack Skille (Madison, Wisc.) each scored in regulation. Billy Blase (Santa Monica, Calif.) earned his third win of the year as he turned aside 21 shots.

Sunday, September 26 – Soo, 4, US-18, 7
The U-18 team defeated the Soo Kewadin Casino Indians, 7-4 in a Sunday matinee to push their record to five wins against no defeats, continue their average of seven goals scored per game and give the NTDP (U-17 and U-18 combined) an unblemished seven and zero mark.

Eleven players registered at least a point for the U18 squad led by Justin Mercier (Erie, Pa.) who tallied three points including his first two goals as a member of the NTDP.

UNITED STATES NATIONAL UNDER-17 TEAM
The U.S. Under-17 Team opened their home season with a 4-3 win over the Soo Kewadin Casino Indians.

THIS WEEK'S ACTION
US National Development Team Program Under-17 team take on the Toledo IceDiggers, Tuesday, September 28th and ravel to Toledo on Friday, October 1 and to Cleveland to face the Barons on October 3rd.

Friday, September 24, 2004 – Soo, 3, US-17, 4
Brett Bennett (Williamsville, N.Y.) turned aside 33 shots backstop the U-17 team to a 4-3 win against the Soo Kewadin Casino Indians.
Bill Sweatt (Elburn, Ill.) opened and closed the scoring for the U-17 club, tallying the first of his two goals, at 14:25 of the opening session as he bested the Indians goaltender with a shot high stick side. His second goal, an empty net score with just :47 left in the game, was the eventual game-winning marker.
