Tycoons sign first two players

Fort Worth, TX. Steve Tucker, Head Coach of the ABA Fort Worth Tycoons professional basketball team scheduled to begin play in November today announced the signing of the team's first wo players - Dameon Sansom and Chris Davis. According to Tucker, "We are excited to have the opportunity to sign two such outstanding players to play for our team. Dameon and Chris are both outstanding and explosive players. They'll be great assets to the Tycoons."

Dameon Sanson, a 6'1"- 185 point guard played collegiatly at Southwest Texas University in San Marcos. He was the 1996-1997 Southland Conference Player of the Year and also a two time First Team All-Conference Player and Southland Conference Freshman of the Year in 1993-1994. Sansom has played professionally both in the USA and abroad during his nine year professional career.

Chris Davis is a 6'6"-230 Forward/Guard, formerly of the University of North Texas. A native of Dallas, who played his Prep Basketball at Dallas Kimball High School, where he starred and was named District MVP twice and was a three time First Team All-District Player while earning McDonalds High School All-American Honorable Mention honors. While at U of North Texas, he was a four time Sun Belt All-Conference performer and was named the Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year.

The Tycoons will be signing players to contracts in the coming weeks as they fill their Training Camp roster. The team plans to bring 18 players to the final Training Camp in mid-October and pare down to the 10 man active playing roster. The team also plans to maintain a 4 man Developmental Squad during the season.
