Tijuana names coach, renames team

Tijuana, MX. Andrew Ditto, Head of Basketball Operations for the ABA Tijuana Diablos today announced the appointment of Robert Don Lee of Layton Utah as Head Coach. According to Ditto, "Robert brings to the table a defensive minded approach and is a stickler on conditioning and shooting skills. He works very well with young players and can greatly improve their skills. We're fortunate to have him."

Lee lead the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in scoring and rebounding in 1973-1976 at Southern Utah University.

Tryouts for the upcoming season will be held in Tijuana and San Diego over the next few weeks. For more information, contact Andrew Ditto at modeltrees@aol.com, call 801-891-7255, fax 801-468-1241. The registration fee will be $150.00.

Ditto concluded, "And, we are changing the name of the team from the Diablos to the DRAGONS and will be introducing an exciting new logo and theme. Look for excitement in Tijuana this fall and winter."
