Two Wings Earn National Lacrosse League Honors

Philadelphia Wings forwards Jeff Ratcliffe and Ryan Ward earned NLL weekly awards for their performances against the Arizona Sting on February 14.

Ratcliffe was named Offensive Player of the Week for the eight points (4G, 4A) he scored against Arizona. The fourth-year forward is the Wings leading scorer this season with 29 points (18G, 11A) and is tied for fifth in the NLL for goals scored.

Ward was named the NLL's Rookie of the Week for his three points (1G, 2A) performance in the game against Arizona. He ranks second in the NLL among rookies in goals scored per game with a three-goal average in six games played this season.

"It's nice to see both these guys get recognized," said Wings General Manager Marty O'Neill. "Jeff's been so consistent this season and has been nominated a few times and Ryan is definitely one of the outstanding rookies in this league."

The Wings return to action when they face the Buffalo Bandits this Saturday, February 21 at the Wachovia Center at 8 p.m. The Wings will play four additional home games at the Wachovia Center including Saturday, February 28 vs. the Toronto Rock; Saturday March 13 vs. the Rock; Saturday, March 20 vs. the Anaheim Storm; and Saturday, March 27 vs. the Rochester Knighthawks.
