Two sign with Roughnecks

ODESSA, TX.: The Odessa Roughnecks are proud to announce the signing of two veteran players today. These additions should be just what the Doctor ordered. Now they are healthy and ready for another shot at the leagues prized possession, the Intense Bowl Trophy. Both very promising players have a lot to offer this team after suffering injuries during the 2006 season a watching from the sidelines.

Mike Owens FB/LB 6'1" 250 lbs, Auburn University

Mike is returning for his third season with the Roughnecks. He has battled a number of injuries over the years that have held back development. "He is fully healthy know and I expect him to return to the Mike of old in 2007", said head coach Chris Williams.

Deron Ellis QB 6'4" 220 lbs, Texas State

"Deron suffered an ACL tear last season. He has worked hard in re-hab and should be able to regain his spot on the active roster in 2007.", stated Williams.
