Two Rockies Promoted to Tri-City

Casper, WY - The Casper Rockies are pleased to announce that RHP Brandon Hynick and shortstop Hector Gomez have been promoted to the Tri-City Dust Devils.

Hynick went 4-3 this season in 12 starts with a 2.39 ERA in 64 innings pitched. The 6-3 righty out of North Royalton, OH allowed 55 hits and 17 earned runs with 70 strikeouts and eight walks. Hynick was twice named the Pioneer League pitcher of the week. He was also the Colorado Rockies Organizational Player of the Month for July.

Gomez, a 6-3 righty, had a.327 batting average in 50 games played with 66 hits. The San Pedro, Dominican Republic native led the team with 35 RBI and 98 total bases. Through Thursday night's game, Gomez was eighth in the league with his .327 batting average.

"Brandon and Hector have had outstanding seasons here in Casper," said Danny Tetzlaff, Casper Rockies General Manager. "We are excited that they are getting this much deserved opportunity."
