Two Outfielders Sign with the Twins

Texarkana, USA - Hunter Markwardt, from Oklahoma Christian University, and Wharton County Junior college center fielder, Matthew Kissamis will offer a big boost to the outfield this season for the Twins.
Hunter Markwardt is a center fielder that plays for the Oklahoma Christian Eagles. Markwardt had a great season for the Eagles where he batted .371 with 23 RBI's and to go along with 18 doubles. Hunter also showed great speed on the base pads stealing 21 bases in 24 attempts. During this season Markwardt was first team All-conference in the Heartland Conference and was also named to the NCBWA All-South Regional List.
Matthew Kissamis is from Katy, Texas and plays for Wharton County Junior College. Kissamis he made 26 appearances for WCJC this year. During the year Kissamis only made two errors during the season, and Kissamis also stole five bases this year. Matthew will be a centerfielder for the Twins this upcoming season.
Hunter Markwardt are both center fielders who are great additions to the team. Markwardt has the ability to be a great leadoff hitter for us during the season. Matthew is also someone that we are excited for as well. He is a solid player that provides the excellent depth needed in order to make it through a long summer league season.
