August 25, 2012 - Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL)
Old Orchard Beach News Release

Donald Hissa (Notre Dame) and Bryan Lanlois (Pepperdine University) hold two spots on the top ten prospects list for the FCBL according to Baseball America.

Hissa, a junior at Notre Dame, will be fighting for a spot out in the Fighting Irish rotation during "Fall Ball," but pitched out of Notre Dame's bullpen last season. In eight starts this summer with the Mavericks, Hissa was 4-0 with a 1.62 ERA with 35 strikeouts in 50 innings. Hissa has amassed 95 strikeouts in two seasons now with the Mavericks averaging just over one strikeout per inning in 94.2 innings pitched. Hissa's most impressive game with the Mavericks was on July 28, 2011 in a no decision. In six innings, Hissa struck out 12 batters while scattering two hits and five walks. Hissa was selected to the inaugural FCLB All-Star Team.

Langlois, a redshirt sophomore at Pepperdine University, will probably get considerably more playing time next spring for Pepperdine. In 84 at-bats last spring, Lanlois held a .310 batting average with a .370 on base percentage, and a .393 slugging percentage. This summer, Langlois enjoyed a batting average of .375 in 120 at bats with a .408 on base percentage, and a .500 slugging percentage. Langlois hit two homeruns and batted in 18 RBIs while walking five times and stealing 16 bases. Langlois's best game with the Mavericks occurred on July 10, 2012 where he was 5-for-6 a homerun, six RBIs, two runs scored, and two stolen bases. Langlois was also selected to the FCBL All-Star Team.
