
Two Great Giveaways Headline Smokies-Mudcats Series

KODAK, Tenn. -The Tennessee Smokies return home to Smokies Park tomorrow for a five-game homestand against the Carolina Mudcats. Headlining this five-game set, which will be the last time the Smokies and Mudcats will ever meet as the Cincinnati Reds' Double-A affiliate will be moving to Pensacola, Fla. in 2012, will be a T-shirt giveaway on Friday and a Smokies cap giveaway on Saturday. Sometime during this homestand Smokies Park will welcome its three-millionth fan in its 12-year history.
Kicking things off Wednesday will be "Buck Night," where hot dogs, soda and popcorn are only $1 each all night long. It's also Christmas in July at the 7:15 game, with a special visit by Santa. Disney's up-and-coming superstars Jenny and Ashley Cooke will make a special appearance and performance. It is also Sevier County Night, where fan that work or live in Sevier County will receive $2 off regularly priced tickets with a photo ID or pay stub at the Smokies ticket office.
Thursday's 7:15 game we will honor police officers, firefighters, EMT's and first responders during "Guns 'n' Hoses" Night." It's also "Kids Eat Free" at Smokies Park. All kids 12-and-under in with paid admission get a free hot dog, chips and small Pepsi product. Thursday is also a Pilot Prize Night, where everyone's a winner!
Friday's game is the team's T-shirt giveaway, courtesy of TGIFriday's. The first 1,500 fans with paid admission to the 7:15 game get a Smokies t-shirt collectable. Stadium gates for Friday's game open at 6:00; fans are encouraged to get to the stadium early. Friday will bring fans all over East Tennessee another "Fireworks Friday" at Smokies Park, courtesy of Pepsi, Coors Light, Knoxville News Sentinel, WVLT-TV 8 and WIVK-FM.
On Saturday, the Smokies will have another great giveaway, this time the first 2,500 fans through the gates with paid admission will receive a collectable Smokies cap. Stadium gates for Saturday's 6:15 game open at 5:00. The Smokies will also welcome back Myron Noodleman to Smokies Park for Saturday's game.
Sunday's 5:00 game, which is the Smokies 100th game of the season, the Smokies will celebrate the past 100 years of professional baseball in East Tennessee. The Smokies will be wearing their special 1911 Knoxville Appalachian jersey during the game.
