Two Earn All-Ironman Honors

TAMPA - The Arena Football League named Tampa Bay Storm wide receiver/linebacker Lawrence Samuels and fullback/linebacker Torrance Marshall to the 2008 AFL All-Ironman Team. This is the second consecutive season Samuels made the team and the first time Marshall received the honor. Tampa Bay and Los Angeles each placed two players on the All-Ironman Team.

Samuels (6-foot-2, 210-pounds, Livingston) led the team with 121 receptions for 1,197 yards and 16 touchdowns. He added 39 tackles and four interceptions, including one for returned for a touchdown on defense. This honor comes on the heels of him earning Ironman of the Month (June) and Ironman of the Week for Week 17. Samuels also earned Ironman of the Week in Weeks 9 and 12.

Marshall, (6-3, 260, Oklahoma) set a franchise record with 23 rushing touchdowns to finish tied with Marlion Jackson for most in the AFL this season. Defensively, he added 24 tackles, 5.5 for a loss, 1.5 sacks and one fumble recovery. Earlier in the season, Marshall earned Ironman of the Month for the Month of April.
