Two Bulls Named to All South Division Teams

AMARILLO, TX --Two members of the Amarillo Bulls were selected to the North American Hockey League's All South Division Team that was announced late Friday afternoon. The teams represent the four divisions in the NAHL: Central, North, South and West Divisions, as voted upon and selected by the league's 24 head coaches. The awards are based on performance during the 2012-13 regular season.

Goaltender Paul Berrafato and defenseman as well as Captain and defenseman John Rey were selected to the team joining Kyle Sharkey and Sean Gaffney of the Topeka RoadRuners, Rudy Sulmonte of the Corpus Christi IceRays and Nick Neville of the Texas Tornado.

Berrafato posted a record of 33-3-5 with a 1.66 Goals Against Average and a .928 Save Percentage. The Buffalo, NY native led the NAHL in victories, was fifth in minutes played and save percentage. Berrafato, who will attend Holy Cross University in 2014, was selected as NAHL Player of the Week numerous times, NAHL Player of the Month and a member of Team Texas at the NAHL Top Prospects.

Rey had another outstanding season in a Bulls uniform with eight goals, 29 assists for 37 points. He was first among defenseman and second overall in plus minus at plus 47, and was fifth in shots on goal at 152. The Turnersville NJ native who will head to Robert Morris University this fall was selected as a NAHL Player of the Month.

The remainder of the NAHL 2012-13 season awards, including the All-NAHL Team, Forward of the Year, Defenseman of the Year, Brian's Goaltender of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, General Manager of the Year and Organization of the Year, along with the Academic Achievement Award, Community Service Award and Mark Messier Leadership Award winners, will be announced in the near future.

The 2013 Robertson Cup NAHL Championship Tournament faces off next weekend at Dr. Pepper Arena in Friscto, TX. The Amarillo Bulls begin the tournament next Friday at 7:30 pm when they host the North Division Champion Jamestown Ironmen.
