FOREST CITY- Steven Pallares and Conor Clancey had 2 RBI's and the Forest City Owls routed the Columbia Blowfish, 9-4, in the second game of the double header.
After falling in game one, 8-6, Conor Clancey got the Owls on the board first after an RBI single scoring Danny Sheehan.
The Blowfish scored on a sac fly the next half inning before the Owls took their second lead after a four run fourth inning on three hits and an error.
Matt Dezort added an RBI in the fifth and the Owls added three more in the sixth behind RBI's from Pallares, Bryant and Clancey to round out the nine run victory.
Colin Hightower (1-0) got the win tonight going 4.2 innings allowing four runs on four hits and struck out two.
Mitch Warner came into replace Hightower with runners on second and third with two outs in the fifth and struck out Julian Santos to end the Blowfish's three run fifth inning.
The Blowfish would not score the rest of the way.
Tomorrow night the Owls will take on the Gastonia Grizzlies in Gastonia in the final game before the all-star break.
Hunter Bryant, Joey Hawkins, Matthew Smith and Brock Goodling will be competing in the all-star game on Monday in Morehead City.
Bryant, the league leader in homeruns will also compete in the homerun derby on Sunday during all-star fan fest.
