(North Little Rock, AR) - The Arkansas Twisters were assigned quarterback Xavier Lee by the arenafootball2 league office. Lee played his college football at Florida State for legendary coach Bobby Bowden and signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent following his college career.
Lee was the 16th ranked quarterback in the nation when he forfeited his senior season to enter the NFL draft. He finished his FSU career with 2332 passing yards and 15 touchdowns.
The Seabreeze High School standout was one of the most highly recruited players in the country when he finished. He set several Florida high school records, earning him Mr. Florida football in '03.
About Arkansas Twisters: The Twisters is the oldest professional football team in the state of Arkansas. The team was established in 1999 and played its first season in the arenafootball2 league in 2000. Arkansas plays a 16 game schedule that starts in late March and runs through July, with the playoffs in August. The organization is celebrating 10 years in the arenafootball2 league throughout the 2009 season.
