Texarkana, USA - Back home after a road trip that ended with the club sweeping the Texas Marshals in their home ballpark, the Texarkana Twins overcame a 5 run deficit to continue their win streak and move into sole possession of second place in the Texas Collegiate League.
Early on the Twins looked sluggish after having a pair of days off, allowing the Marshals to score the game's first five runs and jump out to a 5 run lead heading into the home half of the 4th inning. There the Twins bats woke up and cut the lead down to 5-2. Unfortunately, the Twins could not keep the Marshals off the board in the 5th inning, where the Marshals scored twice to restore their five run lead.
The Twins would start their comeback bid in the 6th inning, getting a run back to cut the lead to 7-3. Then the bats would awake in the late innings, the Twins erased the four run lead of the Marshals, scoring 5 runs in the final frames to defeat the Marshals on a walkoff hit in the bottom of the ninth.
The Twins will once again play host to the Texas Marshals tomorrow night at George Dobson Field..
