Twins Fall to Victoria on the Road

Victoria, TX - The Texarkana Twins bats were silent until the 7th inning of the game where their rally came too little too late. The Twins will seek redemption July 16th against the Generals as their record for the season is now 15-25.
The Victoria Generals put a run on the board in the third inning giving them a 1-0 lead. They increase their lead in the 5th by two, giving them a 3-0 lead. In the 6th inning the Generals bats were on fire scoring three more runs. This brought the Generals to a 6-0 lead. The Twins finally responded in the 7th when the bases were loaded and the hitter took a walk allowing Caleb Lassaigne to score. Nigel Smith then scores off of Dylan Ditzenberger's single, making the score 6-2. In the 8th inning Avery George hit a single for 2 RBI's making the score 6-4. The Twins could not find their way on the scoreboard in the 9th inning making this the final score of the ballgame.
Starting pitcher for the Twins Brendan Dunkleberger pitched for five innings giving up 8 hits and 5 runs. Garin Shelton took the mound in the 6th inning giving up 2 hits and 1 run. Christian Ballard finished the game for the Twins facing three batters for three outs with one strike out.
The Twins will finish this short two game series against the Generals tomorrow July 17th. They will then host the Texas Marshals at George Dobson Field.
