Texarkana Twins News Release
Texarkana, USA - Twins lose to the Generals 8-4 on Superhero night. The game, unfortunately, was pushed back until the next day. There were multiple services vehicles in attendance for the fans to see and interact with.
Superhero night is where the Twins honor those first responders who serve our Texarkana community every single day. A big thank you to the Texarkana emergency center for bringing out an ambulance, Texarkana Texas fire department for the fire truck, the Texarkana police for their police car, and others.
The first four innings were played on June 6th with the following five being played on June 7th. Blake Shannon was the one who got the Twins on the board. The score was 2-0 Generals in the bottom of the second and then Shannon came up and hit an RBI double to bring it to 2-1. When the day ended in the bottom of the fourth it was 4-1.
When play resumed the next day it was all Generals. In the top of the 7th the Generals took over the game by scoring four runs making the score 8-1. The Twins were able to get three back in the bottom of the eighth. The final score was 8-4 as the teams finished the weird game because of the weather.
The Twins next game is here at George Dobson Field against the Acadiana Cane Cutters. They will play the Cane Cut
