Twins Fall to Cane Cutters 8-6

Youngsville, LA - The Texarkana Twins continued their road woes, losing their fourth consecutive game away from the friendly confines of Texarkana, 8-6 to the Acadiana Cane Cutters.
The Cane Cutters started the scoring off in the first after a RBI groundout by Nathan Gabryszwski scored Jeffery Elkins, giving the Cane Cutters the early lead. The Cane Cutters would strike again in the 3rd inning when a RBI single from Mason Corbett brought home Brady Adkins. The Twins would explode in the fourth inning however, totaling five runs in the inning to take the lead. Jakob Nunez starting the scoring when he scored on a walk drawn by Caleb Lasseigne. Dylan Ditzenburger would then score on a passed ball and Jojo Craig would single in Jake Gray to give the Twins the lead. Gehrig Octavio reached on an error, which continued to bring runners home for the Twins, this time being Caleb Lasseigne. The scoring in the fourth ended on a RBI fielder's choice, scoring Jojo Craig.
The Twins ran into issues in the 6th inning, with relief pitcher Gage Wall gave up 6 runs, 5 of which were earned, giving the Cane Cutters the lead again. The Twins would try to rally in the 7th inning when Caleb Lasseigne brought home his second RBI of the night as Hudson Hopkins scored. The starting pitcher for the Twins tonight was Foster Pace from Paris Junior College. Pace completed 5 innings, 2 runs, 7 hits, 3 walks, and 6 strikeouts, while not factoring in the decision.
The Twins remain on the road to play a two-game series against the Texas Marshalls tomorrow night. The Twins will return to Texarkana on June 6th to take on the same Texas Marshalls at George Dobson Field.
