
Tuskers Roar Into Florida Citrus Bowl For Home Opener

JACKSONVILLE, FL - Wednesday, September 29, 2010 - The Tuskers roar into the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando for their long-awaited home debut and Rosenblatt rocks as the Nighthawks welcome the Mountain Lions to Omaha as the United Football League Week 3 action kicks off.
The Florida Tuskers (1-1) play host to the Las Vegas Locomotives (0-1) on the new turf of the Florida Citrus Bowl in the first rematch of the 2010 season on Thursday night at 6pm, live on Versus with Craig Minervini and Doug Flutie in the booth. On opening weekend, Florida traveled to Sam Boyd Stadium and came away from Las Vegas with a 27-20 victory. Coming off a bye week, the Locos look to avenge that defeat and repeat the 2009 Championship Game triumph they scored over Florida.
The mouthwatering showdown between quarterback Jeff Garcia and running back Ahman Green of the Omaha Nighthawks (1-0) and quarterback Daunte Culpepper and his Sacramento Mountain Lions (1-1) will kickoff at 7.30pm local time on Saturday, October 2. The 'Rumble at Rosenblatt' will air live on HDNet with Kenny Rice and Paul Maguire calling the action at 8.30pm EDT following an HDNet pregame show at 8pm EDT.
The Hartford Colonials (1-1) have the Week 3 bye.

September 24, 2010 - Omaha quarterback Jeff Garcia threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Robert Ferguson with six seconds left to give the Nighthawks a 27-26 home win over the Hartford Colonials.
November 27, 2009 - Following an interception by Las Vegas nickel back Isaiah Trufant on Florida's only possession of overtime, Locos kicker Graham Gano hit a 33-yard field goal 1:43 into OT for a 20-17 victory over the Tuskers in the first UFL Championship Game.

Jeff Garcia, QB, Omaha - In the Nighthawks' first-ever game in front of a sellout crowd at Rosenblatt Stadium, Garcia led a game-winning drive which culminated in his 12-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Robert Ferguson with six seconds left to give Omaha a 27-26 victory over the Hartford Colonials. Overall, Garcia was 23-for-40 for 226 yards and three touchdowns.
Daunte Culpepper, QB, Sacramento - Culpepper directed a come-from-behind 24-20 victory for the Mountain Lions at home over the Florida Tuskers. Culpepper set a new UFL single-game record with 374 passing yards, going 26-for-42 with three touchdowns and one interception. His 33-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Rod Windsor with 31 seconds left sealed the Sacramento victory.
Zeke Moreno, LB, Sacramento - Moreno was all over the field for the Mountain Lions in his first UFL start, making 11 total tackles (10 solo) with three tackles for loss and a pass breakup in the Mountain Lions' 24-20 victory over the Florida Tuskers.
Fabrizio Scaccia, K, Sacramento - Scaccia, in just his second UFL game, tied the league record for longest field goal with a 54-yarder early in the fourth quarter. He added three extra points in the Mountain Lions' 24-20 victory over the Florida Tuskers.
