Turfcats Change Opening Kickoff To April 18

Austin, TX - The Austin Turfcats announced a change to their opening home game matchup versus the Acadiana Mudbugs from Lafayette, Louisiana. The game that was originally scheduled for Friday, April 17, 2009 will be played Saturday, April 18, 2009 for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff at the Travis County Exposition Center.
"Our original goal was to have all games on Saturday's at 6:30 p.m. so all of our fans would have time to tailgate and enjoy the indoor football experience, said Vice-President/General Manager Ronald Oswalt.
Special thanks go to Michael Norton the arena director for making this date change for the fans of Austin and Central Texas indoor football. Also, thanks go to Rob Winfrey and Thom Hagar of the Southern Indoor Football League for making this change after the league schedules were released and putting our fans first.
