
Tulsa's Ronald Dupree Earns Gatorade Call-Up To Seattle SuperSonics

NEW YORK - Tulsa 66ers guard/forward Ronald Dupree today earned a GATORADE Call-Up to the Seattle SuperSonics. Dupree is expected to be in uniform and available for action tomorrow, when the Sonics host the Houston Rockets.
Dupree has appeared in nine games (two starts) with the 66ers since being acquired on Feb. 29, and leads the team with 17.2 points, to go with 5.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 30.0 minutes. His best outing of the season came on March 21, when he scored 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds against the Albuquerque Thunderbirds.
The 25th GATORADE Call-Up this season, Dupree has spent time with Chicago, Detroit and Minnesota during his five-year NBA career. Dupree saw NBA playoff action with Detroit during the 2004-05 season, though his best season came in 2003-04 when he played in 47 games and averaged 6.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 19.0 minutes for Chicago. He owns NBA career averages of 3.7 points and 1.4 rebounds in 150 games.
A four-year product of Louisiana State, Dupree finished his collegiate career averaging 13.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 28.8 minutes. A member of the SEC Champion Tigers team in 2000, he earned All-SEC Second Team honors in 2002 and 2003, and Third Team honors in 2001.
