WEDNESDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Wednesday's D-League games

v Sean Banks led the way for Los Angeles scoring 26 points as the D-Fenders claimed the top spot in the Western Division. Jelani McCoy chipped in with 13 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Idaho at STAPLES Center.

v Idaho's Randy Livingston finished with 24 points and 11 assists and Cory Violette scored 20 points and grabbed 14 boards in the Stampede loss.

v Cheyne Gadson scored 27 points and Kevin Pittsnogle scored 22 for the Thunderbirds as Albuquerque beat the Austin Toros.

v On assignment from the San Antonio Spurs, Ian Mahinmi finished with a team-high 27 points and 12 rebounds for Austin in the loss.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS...a look at D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games

Twenty Nine players with D-League experience competed in 10 NBA games last night, five as starters. Here are the highlights:

v Ramon Sessions scored eight points, including a game-winning shot for the Milwaukee Bucks while Bobby Simmons finished with 12 points.

v Cleveland's Devin Brown scored 20 points and dished out eight assists in 42 minutes for the Cavaliers.

v Blake Ahearn scored 15 points in 25 minutes for Miami, while teammates Daequan Cook and Earl Barron each earned starts in the game.

D-LEAGUE PLAYOFFS 101: The 2007-08 D-League Playoffs will begin shortly after the regular season concludes on April 12 and will consist of three rounds. The first two rounds are single elimination, while the Finals will be a best-of-three series. The three division winners, as well as three wild card teams, will qualify for the 2008 D-League Playoffs. Tie breakers are, in order, head-to-head record, winning percentage against teams over .500, and point differential. The two division winners with the best records will receive byes in the first round.

PLAYOFF PICTURE: If the D-League playoffs started today, the following teams would complete the field:
