Tulsa Shock News Release
TULSA, Okla. (April 8, 2010) -- The WNBA's Tulsa Shock will host its inaugural draft party this afternoon, the club's front office announced today.
The event will be taking place at the Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino for all Tulsa Shock season ticket holders and prospects. This event was scheduled in advance of the deals Tulsa Shock Head Coach and General Manager Nolan Richardson made yesterday and the fans will be able to watch the draft live on ESPN2. Richardson will be talking with season ticket holders on the trading of the seventh pick yesterday.
"This is just another opportunity for our organization to reach out and connect with one of our most important customers. This is just one of the many benefits we will continue to offer our season ticket holders and the ability to hear from Coach Richardson's philosophy of building our team for success on the court is another added value of being a season ticket holder," Tulsa Shock Team President Steve Swetoha stated on behalf of the organization.
The Tulsa Shock also is announcing today that Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino is the official casino partner.
"We are thrilled to have a partner like Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino who is engaged and committed to the Tulsa market on many levels including Tulsa Public Schools," Swetoha said. "This is certainly something we strive on in partnering with our brands."
"We're ecstatic to be the exclusive Casino sponsor for Tulsa Shock. Today's draft party is the first of many exciting events the Casino looks forward to hosting with the team," Jennifer Bighorse, Director of Marketing for Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino, said.
