TULSA, Okla., March 13, 2008 - The Tulsa 66ers handed the 14ers a 111-102 loss Thursday night at Expo Square Pavilion, despite a career-high 23 point nine rebound performance from Roderick Riley.
The 66ers held a 14 point lead heading into the fourth quarter but thanks to Eddie Gill's 3-point jump shot, the 14ers were able to take control of the game for the first time.
With 1:42 left in the fourth quarter, Colorado's Eddie Gill missed a three and the 66ers took possession and the lead with a lay-up from Scott Merritt. The 66ers appeared to be headed for their second straight win as the crowd began to feel the vibes of victory.
David Noel sank a trey and Jeremy Kelly answered with a steal and lay-up making the score 107-102 Tulsa with 30 seconds left. A pair of Colorado's missed jump shots got answered by pair of free-throws from Keith Closs as the 66ers ended the night in victory.
14ers Eric Osmundson poured in 19 points, but was also aided by Justin Cage who scored 10 points and 10 rebounds. Luke Anderson added 14 points, Damien Lolar chipped in 12 points, and Eddie Gill added 10 points and 12 assists.
Adam Harrington led the way for the 66ers with 27 points and seven assists. David Noel, on assignment from the Milwaukee Bucks, poured in 22 points and six rebound, while Keith Closs grabbed the 66es only double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Scott Merritt chipped in with 19 points and Jason Fontenet finished the game with 12 points.
The 66ers will again tomorrow night against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at 7pm.
