Tulsa 66ers News Release

TULSA, Okla., November 25, 2012 - The Tulsa 66ers spurred a fourth-quarter comeback to take down the Texas Legends, 91-89, on Sunday at the SpiritBank Event Center behind Daniel Orton's 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Orton, currently on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder, recorded a double-double for the second-consecutive game. Fellow OKC assignment DeAndre Liggins scored eight points while dishing out seven assists and grabbing four boards.

After the Legends led for a majority of the game, Tulsa fought back in the final minutes to secure their second-straight win. Andy Rautins led the effort with 10 fourth-quarter points, ending the night with 16 points and shooting 4-for-6 from behind the 3-point arc. Brady Morningstar posted nine points in the final quarter to also total 16 on the night.

Texas led 76-67 with 9:09 remaining in the game before an 8-1 Tulsa run behind a pair of 3-pointers by Rautins to get within two. Texas then extended its lead to 81-76 before another 8-1 Sixer run that gave Tulsa the lead with three and a half minutes left.

The two squads went back and forth for the remainder of the game before Texas' Chris Douglas-Roberts gave the Legends an 89-87 lead with 36 seconds remaining. Douglas-Roberts finished the night with a game-best 29 points.

Tulsa retook the lead on the next possession via a corner 3 from Morningstar with 21 seconds left on the clock. The 66ers defense held Texas scoreless on their final possession, resulting in a missed layup by Sean Singletary to give Tulsa the win.

The 66ers are back in action at the SpiritBank Event Center on Friday night against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the NBA D-League affiliate of the Houston Rockets. For more information, visit Tulsa66er.com.
