Tucson Toros News Release

Calgary, CAN - The Tucson Toros took Game 3 of the GBL Championship Series by a score of 12-1 behind a dominating performance by starting pitcher Dustin Glant. The righty went the distance, ending up just an out short of the complete game shutout. Dustin allowed just 1 run on 6 hits in 9 innings of work. Glant's outing is made even more impressive when considering the Vipers offense had average 10 runs a game in this series entering the night.

First Baseman Dustin Yount gave Glant all the run support he would need in the 3rd inning with a 2-RBI double to left center scoring Ryan Priddy and Junior Spivey. That was just the beginning of Tucson's offensive onslaught. The Toros would score 8 more times over the following 3 innings putting the game well out of reach at 10-0 after the top of the 6th.

Every Tucson Toro position player had at least 1 hit, and 6 Toro's enjoyed multi-hit nights. Leading the way were Yount and Skip Adams who both had 3 hits. Yount finished with a double, triple, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Lino Garcia had a pair of hits and drove in 4.

The win was the first for Tucson in the series, which they now trail 1-2. Tucson will face another must win situation on Saturday when they take on the Vipers once again in Calgary at 4:35 p.m. (Tucson time). A stream of Calgary's broadcast will be aired live on COOL 1450 and streamed at www.tucsontoros.com
