Tucson Padres News Release

TUCSON, AZ - Tickets for the two Major League Spring Training games at Kino Stadium are selling fast and fans are encouraged to leave early on game days and think about their route to the ballpark. Gates open at 11:00 am for the 1:05 pm games on March 17 (Diamondbacks vs. Padres) and March 21 (Cubs vs. Dodgers).

Please see the attached map, showing the traffic control plan. There are two entrances to the ballpark. When coming from the east, fans are encouraged to enter the stadium parking lot from Country Club Road. When heading east on I-10, please use Benson Highway, Exit 262, to avoid the difficulty of the left turn at Ajo Way and Kino Parkway.

All hospital-bound traffic, except emergency vehicles, will enter the Kino Hospital on Bentley Avenue from Ajo Way, just east of the stadium entrance. Emergency vehicles will enter the hospital at the stadium entrance on Forgeus Avenue and will be assisted by the Sheriff's Department traffic detail.

"We anticipate a high volume of traffic leading up to these two games," said Mike Feder, Tucson Padres General Manager. "To all of the fans coming to Kino Stadium, please try to arrive before 12:00 noon."

There are still seats available for the two Major League Spring Training games at Kino Stadium. To purchase tickets, you can visit the Kino Stadium box office from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, call (520) 434-1367 or visit www.tucsonpadres.com .
