Tryouts set for 2007 Birmingham Showsteelers

Birmingham, Ala. - Tryouts for the Birmingham Steeldogs' award-winning Showsteelers Dance Team have been scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9th at 10 a.m., at the Hoover SportsPlex, located at 3447 Lorna Road.
The Showsteelers have won five-straight arenafootball2 "Dance Team of the Year" titles. In addition to performing before and during every Steeldogs home game, Showsteelers spend a great deal of time making appearances for sponsors and numerous fundraising events for local charities. Members of the team also appear at numerous team functions throughout the season.
"The Showsteelers are always made up of a very bright and talented group of women who work hard to exceed in their dance capabilities as well as support local charities," said Angela Stephenson, Showsteelers co-coordinator. "Each member has to make time for their passion of dance and their willingness to help out the community."
