
Tropics Back Home to Take on Orlando SeaWolves Saturday

LAKELAND, Fla. - The Florida Tropics SC and Orlando SeaWolves will hook up for the third of six regular season Major Arena Soccer League matchups Saturday night at the RP Funding Center. Kickoff is at 7:05 p.m. for American Heart Association Night.
The Tropics will wear special uniforms that will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the AHA.
Both teams are at the bottom of the South Central Division. Florida comes in 4-10, winning just once in their last eight starts. Orlando is 4-5, fourth place in the five-team division.
Still, both teams are in sight of the final playoff spot in the division, currently held by the Kansas City Comets. Orlando is just two games back of KC, and the Tropics just 3.5 games back. The Comets will play twice in Lakeland in March.
The Tropics continue to be severely impacted by injuries. Lucas Montelares, Lucas Teixeira and Guilherme, their leading scorer, continue to be out of the lineup.
Florida's leading active scorer is Victor Parreiras, with 10 goals and six assists. Orlando is paced by Gordy Gurson with 15 goals and nine assists.

Florida will be on the road against next weekend, where they are winless this season, with a Feb. 24 date against the St. Louis Ambush, and be at Orlando on March 2.
