Halifax Rainmen News Release

(Halifax,NS): The Halifax Rainmen can advance to the National Basketball League Of Canada Finals, for the second time in their history, with a win over the Island Storm tonight.

"These games are special opportunities that we don't want to take for granted," said Rainmen Owner Andre Levingston. "We know what's at stake and we do not want to return the series to the Island."

Due to the World Curling Championship at the Scotiabank Centre, tonight's Game 5 will be held at Saint Mary's University in Halifax at 7PM in the Homburg Centre for Health & Wellness.

Levingston added "We have the best fans in the league, so playing in a smaller venue will be extremely loud and intimate, will make for an amazing atmosphere."

The Rainmen won 16 of 18 games and captured the Atlantic Division Regular Season title with a deciding win over the Storm.

The game is expected to be sold out so we encourage those interested in attending to get their tickets while they last. Tickets are being sold through the Ticket Atlantic Box Office or www.ticketatlantic.com

The Rainmen made the league finals in the first season in 2011/12 under the guidance of Head Coach Pep Claros, but lost to the London Lightning in the final deciding game.
